Qidi FENG is a PhD candidate at the University of Amsterdam. He is currently conducting fieldwork in Guangzhou and Nairobi, studying wigs, fashion, and body in China–Africa trades. He has been working with the African diaspora community since 2017 and organised atSanyuanli, a voluntary aid initiative for affected Africans in Guangzhou during the early stages of the 2020 pandemic.
