Andrew Kipnis is Professor of Anthropology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is the author of six books, the most recent of which is The Funeral of Mr Wang (University of California Press, 2021). He has been editor of two journals: The China Journal and HAU: Journal of Ethnographic Theory.
