Chong Liu is a visiting academic at the Department of Sociology, University of Durham, UK. She is a sociologist whose research examines the intersections of the education system, class and gender stratification, and sexuality education in contemporary China. She completed her PhD in Sociology and Social Policy at the University of Leeds, where her thesis explored how class and gender shape young people’s understandings of sexuality and relationships within China’s stratified school system.
