Yue Hou is a political scientist at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and a national fellow at Stanford’s Hoover Institution. She studies the political economy of China. She is the author of The Private Sector in Public Office: Selective Property Rights in China (Cambridge University Press, 2019).
