Yun Chen is a curator and researcher based in Shanghai. She studied journalism at Fudan University and earned an MA in Communication from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Between 2007 and 2009, she worked at contemporary art institutions in Shanghai and Beijing before moving into independent, cross-disciplinary art projects. Since 2010, she has been affiliated with West Heavens, a cross-cultural exchange program between India and China, for which she works as a researcher and project manager. In this role, she has curated talks, performances, workshops, and social events. She was also a member of the curatorial team of the Eleventh Shanghai Biennale (2016–17), for which she co-curated 51 Personae.
